The Steel Club in Hellertown, Pennsylvania – The greatest clubs begin with a championship style golf course. But, as the famous poem says, ‘tis the full and joint force of all’ that really make a club stand out. The entire venue at the Steel Club in Hellertown, the owners are constantly improving upon their property, paying special homage to this club’s rich history and the course’s pedigree – all while continuing to upgrade for the next generation of golfing hopefuls.
The club’s newest owners’ plans over the long term were to modernize all amenities and suites, beginning with the club’s bar/restaurant, The Beam Yard. They expanded the dining area, the Grace Room, which is now open to the public. But – becoming a member certainly has its advantages.
The restaurant was converted to become the destination for nighttime entertainment. For instance, Tuesdays are Date Night, Wednesdays are Whisky & Wine tastings, and live bands play on Thursday nights. Weekends are for the luxury-seeking foodies who are treated to one-of-a-kind culinary delights prepared by Michael Honeywell, the club’s executive chef.
Today’s visitors will see for themselves the newly designed Bistro Street Café, which includes an entire shopping district, several new eateries, a Quenching Bar, and even a convention center for hosting large groups or performances. There’s even a sports and fitness training center offering physical therapy sessions.
Of all the Steel Club’s lavish amenities, the top spot remains the club’s golf course. This course, named for golfing great, Donald Ross, has been landscaped for beauty and for the art of the game. There are new membership levels and new tee times so more people can take advantage of this championship level golf course.
All the updates that have been made to Hellertown’s Steel Club have created a true destination for all ages – not to mention a premier golfing destination, so dads (or moms!) are happy, too. These updates also come with membership packages to match, and now include several different interests, levels, and all-aged activities. One of the newest categories for membership is the Dining Club. As long as you’re already a member of the Steel Club, your dining experiences have no additional fees.
